A Red Thread Adoption Services, Inc. is incorporated as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) federal tax exempt agency licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1999 and later by the State of Rhode Island to provide adoption services.
Leah C. O'Leary, LICSW, is the Founder and Executive Director of A Red Thread Adoption Services, Inc. With over 30 years experience in child welfare and adoption services, Leah holds memberships in the following organizations:
 Adoption Professionals of Massachusetts
Joint Council on International Children's Services
ODS Adoption Community of New England
National Association of Social Workers
Leah has also served in the past on the faculties of:
Boston University School of Social Work
Boston College Graduate School of Social Work
Bridgewater State College Social Work Program
In addition to earning an MSW from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, Leah completed required coursework and comprehensive exams (a.b.d.) in the doctoral program at the Florence Heller School for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare Research and Policy at Brandeis University.
